LHSE has an opening in its Litigation Practice Group for a motivated associate attorney. The firm is accepting resumes from Washington attorneys with 3 years of general litigation experience. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials, work well with clients, and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit. The most qualified applicant will have experience in every stage of commercial litigation, as well as excellent writing, analytical thinking, and communication skills. Estate Planning Legal Assistant/Secretary

Lasher Holzapfel Sperry & Ebberson PLLC seeks an experienced Estate Planning Legal Assistant/Secretary for its busy and thriving Estate Planning practice group. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a law firm. Candidates will be skilled in working with estate planning documents under attorney supervision; have a general knowledge of real estate and corporate documents; management of attorneys’ calendars; drafting routine correspondence and memos under attorney supervision; maintaining up-to-date document database and client files; and pay excellent attention to details in all client documents and communications. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and must be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and stay on task. Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist

Lasher Holzapfel Sperry & Ebberson has an opening for a full-time experienced Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist. The position reports to the Controller and works closely with all internal departments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: responsible for full A/P cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices to issuance of 1099s; verify payment requests for accuracy, proper payment authority and coding; processes and enters all invoices for payment; generates checks on a daily basis; processes and reconciles all credit card charges; maintains accounts payable/vendor filing system; process annual unclaimed property reporting by resolving any outstanding AP checks; receive and post client payments – wires, ACHs, credit cards, checks; researches and solves payment discrepancies, make adjustments to accounts as needed; maintain Accounts Receivable and documentation; display strong collections practices and follow-up, make outbound collections calls to obtain payments on outstanding invoices in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations; prepare reports reflecting collection efforts, data and results; assist Billing Manager with monthly billing; perform conflict checks; other duties/projects as assigned by the firm. Qualifications for the position are: 2+ years’ experience in AP and AR functions in professional office setting; high school diploma required, college degree or courses in accounting preferred; detail oriented with ability to work independently and with a team; emphasis on accuracy and timeliness; excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers in a well-organized manner; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to learn new software quickly; legal industry experience preferred but not required. Firm Administrator

The Lasher Law Firm is seeking an experienced Firm Administrator to take over from a retiring administrator. The Firm Administrator is to work closely in-office with the Managing Principal and the firm’s management committees to oversee the operations and administration of the firm while promoting teamwork and collegiality along with an appreciation for the diversity and individuality of the firm’s employees and vibrant culture.

Lasher is a mid-sized law firm based in downtown Seattle. The firm has been providing legal services to clients in the Pacific Northwest for over 50 years, with a commitment to excellence and customer service. The firm’s main areas of practice are corporate & business law, family law, creditors rights and bankruptcy, estate and gift tax returns, estate planning, trusts & probate, employment, real estate, tax law, trademark registrations, and business/trust/estate litigation.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain and exercise confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment at all times
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide range of personalities in a team setting
  • Strong leadership skills with proven success in conflict resolution and consensus building
  • Advanced understanding of office management practices, including operations management, human resources, client relations, compliance and risk management, and strategic planning
  • Ability to identify and analyze complex issues and problems in human resources, facilities and general operations; ability to recommend and implement solutions
  • Solid planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other programs associated with firm administration

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related field
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a senior management position, preferably in a law firm

Salary Range and Benefits:

  • $150,000 – $210,000, plus annual discretionary bonus
